It is an inevitable truth of human nature that you are going to face no matter what you do. All people, good, evil, kind, mean, rich, poor, famous, and unknown will inevitably be met with this.
To this day, the most popular rebuttal to any of my motivation/self improvement threads is that the cases I use are "unique" and "rare" and users never stop to think "why not me?" and immediately try defending their LDARing. It is a minority of users (that I am honored to be with every day) that actually want to improve themselves, that want to cause a change in their lives and not just want, but make a move to change their lives. This behavior is rare even within self improvement spaces like looksmax.org, it is a small minority of users that actually a make a move to improve themselves. These users stand out no matter what, even if what they have done is minor or achievable by even normie standards.
A good example of this is Pnuemo, who is largely considered a forum legend. By all accounts of what is possible and available to do, Pneumocystis was a largely unimpressive user. His best thread was about teeth whitening, one of the most documented and researched things in all cosmetic medical history. His posts largely consisted of slay threads and some guides on some known compounds. To understand the scope of this, Pnuemo used lemonbottle as a fat dissolver while anyone that has done their research and actually knows what they are talking about would know without a doubt that lemonbottle is objectively inferior to aqualyx, yet nobody points this out about pneumo, why?
Because he made a change for himself. No matter how "unimpressive" he was by any metric, he made a change in his life and completed what the goal for every user on sign up is, to better their life and leave. He's part of the small minority of people that are actually willing to get up and make a change in their life. This is why people don't point out any of his flaws, because no matter what, at the end of the day, he did what 95% don't, he made a change.
We have users like him to this day, I'm friends with a few, notably @Orka and @Sayori. Orka, despite all he's contributed, remains a polarized figure on here due to some strong opinions other users have on him. Doesn't make sense right? Someone on a self improvement forum being criticized for things that have nothing to do with self improvement. While I personally disagree with his engagement with users that vocally share their negative opinions of him (although it is understandable as it plays with his reputation to an extent,) it is still evident that he will remain a significant, memorable user within the community as will countless others, simply because they made a change and decided to document it to help others.
People have the inherent flaw of believing that all opinions are equal, this is not the case whatsoever. A kind word will always be superior to a hateful one, a word of advice will always be superior to one of belittlement. Once you learn this, and actually apply to your life and way of thinking, you will never struggle with social interactions or dynamics again.
