People get mythologized way too easily in high school

If someone has a broccoli haircut (or undercut in 2015, or emo hair in 2009), they become “hot”

If someone punches someone in the face .. they’re seen as “he can fight”

If someone is good at taking tests, “he’s a genius”

If a woman is PSL 6, she’s “really beautiful”

In real life you won’t get mythologized like that, since it’s a bigger pond

No one will see a guy who’s good at Sunday league basketball as an actually good basketball player, since there’s NBA and college hoops

A random person seeing someone dominate the Sunday league would 99% of the time think "He's a great footballer."

Though it varies by what you define as "great" in a global sport.
