I had a surgery a few days ago so I have to walk around with a huge bandage wrapped around my head and I noticed people were looking at me like I was a freak at the grocery store and in other public places. Never before in my life has people looked at me like this. Fortunate for me I will take it off next week and be back to normal. I imagine this is how it must feel like to be deformed, people constantly staring at you and avoiding you for something that is not even your fault. I feel humbled having experienced this since I never experienced anything as brutal as this before.
TL;DR: Have to wear a huge bandage around head bc of surgery, noticed many people gave me weird looks and avoided me in public. I think that is how it must feel like to walk around with a visible deformity. Absolutely beyond brutal.
