As a 16-year-old boy who’s 171, if you have a cousin who’s 181 with you every day, that height difference will be noticeable—and very obvious, too; there’s a 10 cm gap between us. There used to be a similar height difference back then, but I made up for it with a major growth spurt. This kid has grown again. Anyway, in the meantime, I was teased by a guy who’s shorter than me. I’m usually someone who enjoys competition, but I think I’ve lost the competitive edge in my life. I’m not even bad-looking—I have a defined jawline, strong jaw muscles, and a good skull structure—but without height, you just aren’t liked. So, the best thing I’ll ever do in this life is join the army and follow in my ancestors’ footsteps.
