I used to feel the exact same way, but you have to take it upon yourself as a man to try something new and go out. Im not sure how old you are but even going to high school parties is a great way to get yourself out there. I used to have to drink a lot to be able to go out and not be awkward. But i have trained myself to be able to be sober and go to social events, of course I have a little anxiety and nervousness but thats normal. Take control of your life and don’t let small things stop you from exploring. All you have to do is commit and dont care about the results sometimes.
