People overrate the importance of looks

Sure if you want multiple girls staring at you and shit like that you need to be very attractive but for living a good life not being ugly is enough. Personality, charisma and confidence matter a lot more than you think and as long as you aren't ugly meaning you have no stand out extremely bad feature you'll have no problems finding a good girl and good friends. You should still work on improving your looks just like you work on improving your knowledge, social circle etc... but I feel like some people give too much importance to appearance and that ends up making them insecure which harms them way more than looking bad would
