People (specifically woman) feel fear for weird reasons

This is more a personal anecdote but the happening was I was walking from my place of education (yes I said place of education I want to sound like a smarty boy) to my home and I was walking behind 2 people who were standing next to each other one male one female (I was previously friends with the male and have had like 2 conversations with the female) I am not sure if they were in a relationship or if they were friends but I noticed the girl was consistently looking over her shoulder at me with a slight frown (like an uncomfortable face) and was repeatedly doing this until we reached a crosswalk and she looked at me one last time when she turned and I crossed the street. I don’t know and I kinda know why she was looking at me like I was a creep I was lil close (about 1-2 feet behind them) and I sometimes smell like sweat unintentionally and I don’t notice until someone tells me and additionally like 3 weeks after than I am walking the same route she is on the other side of the street and she was looking at me with that same uncomfortable face (I could have been looking in her direction I do have a “staring” problem) but I noticed after the first time she was repeatedly looking at me to see if I was like following her or something I couldn’t really tell mostly because we walk a similar route through
