so people think i'm larping about my trimax and i just got chin filler, here's some proof.

IMG 3732
before. notice the recession, the assymetry on the vertical and horizontal plan, and the position of my gonions

IMG 3736
14 days post op. notice the assymetry corrections, and the swelling. my gonions are in a better more symmetrical position.

if that's not proof enough, this is consistent with my skull ct scan planning.

IMG 3731
here's my side. the line isn't perfect but notice my chin shape, and projection relative to my nose. also look at my one nasolabial fold

IMG 3735
after, the chin is more defined, nasolabial fold gone, and my projection is more ideal. this matches with the almost centimeter of forward growth

before

one day post op

these side and front photos match the ct scans and the 3/4 angle photos, even one day post op

xray 5 days post op

me in the hospital same night

the only reason people think it's not real is because it's very soon post op to judge the aesthetic result. from my experience so far i will give a comprehensive guide

do you need trimax?

this depends on you, a few things to consider are your occlusion, airway, breathing, assymetry, palate size, or recession.

if you have been treated by an orthodontist and still have an over/under/cross/open bite, this may be something to consider. same thing if you have a narrow palate and are an adult. if your jaws are severely recessed, this is not a looks issue, this is a health issue. waking up in the middle of the night, having dreams of drowning, or being tired during the day may be a red flag. if you have any of these, talk to your orthodontist. they referred me to my surgeon. in my case, it was mai lu to correct assymetry which was causing uneven tooth wear. i had braces for the first time at the age of 14 and finished at 16. the orthodontist took some x rays and said my facial bones were mostly done growing and my case was getting worse over the years and referred me.

THE PROCESS:

if you have wisdom teeth, a narrow palate, or crooked teeth, it will take longer. the orthodontist will put on braces and you will get your wisdom teeth removed or palatial expansion if you are the right patient. if not, SARPE (surgically assisted rapid palatial expansion) will be done) braces took 6 months for me but i was ready in 4, they need to get you up to a surgical wire to make sure everything stays stable during and after surgery.

you'll go in a month or so before to get CT scans and you surgeon will build a surgical plan. make sure to choose a surgeon who invests in custom planning technology and is board certified if you live in the usa. you stop all medications and do a normal surgical protocol the week or two before.

THE SURGERY:

surgery day looks different for everyone but the recovery is not light. you'll will be bleeding, swollen, regretting it, and you will feel nerve zaps and tingling for weeks as the nerves wake up. day 3-5 is the worst, make sure to have your parents around and support from your friends. you will feel like shit. you can't chew for 6 weeks but you can usually go back to work or school after week 2. this dosent matter because i'm off for summer and im unemployed as shit.

HOW TO KNOW IF YOU NEED IT FOR COSMETICS:

this usually won't get covered by insurance so make sure you have money. the process is similar with the orthodontist. nobody talks about surgical limitations. if they overadvance the maxilla, you will look like a dog. the mandible can only be advanced as far as the maxilla for patients without any sort of medical issue or malocclusion. this usually is a bimaxxilary recession or downward growth, which can cross over into health issues. if you just want stronger chin projection or a better chin shape, implants or a genioplasty will do the job. it's much less risky and less grueling recover and you don't need braces.

anyways i hope this helped im not larping dm me if u have any questions i can ask but im not a doctor

Anyways, I saw your reddit post. Didn't you get like 2mm bsso, 2mm maxilla and 6mm genioplasty?

yea thats swelling it went down aready. yea those were my movements
I am guessing you mainly did it for asymmetry? 2mm sounds brutal and not worth it. I think it might've been bit better if you did pre surgery braces for longer to get bigger BSSO movements tbh but it is what it is.
