They will still end up as the same people you know them as today. Essentially you are saying because they havent inhabited the world for 12 more years its not acceptable. Objectively one rape encounter could help shape their life in a less carefree way and lead them in a different direction which doesnt involve offering their body on a platter as they would fear to experience that same "trauma", creating tighter pussies for those who deserve it and high value critical thinkers with self worth.
