My acne wasn't even cystic but I took accutane.

It gave me insanely clear and youthful skin, there are studies showing accutane permanently improves collagen. But it definitely made me depressed and likely stunted my growth. If you have no prior history of depression and are a fully developed adult I think it's worth the pain. I never have to worry about pimples anymore.

You don't. It mostly genetic. I guess you could try using accutane but then your liver will go MGTOW.

I have clear skin all over my face except for my chin, I don’t think the derm will prescribe me accutane

I always have acne on my forehead. I tried cutting out carbs, changing diet and etc. Still, the amount of acne wasn't reduced at all. It doesn't really bother me but sometimes the lesions hurt.

I used to have cystic acne on my forehead too but they have completely disappeared. I get cystic acne frequently on my chin and once a year between eyebrows and eyes. My life is a curse, people expect gooks like me to have kpop tier skin all year round.

Already doing but still getting persistent cystic acne on chin
I think that’s called purging. It’s normal. Gotta stick to it.

Nah I didn’t purge, basically I had chin acne even before tretinoin and now even after using tret for 4 months I am still getting the same cystic acne on my chin.
