This is something I notice both on ORG and COM. Mostly here too, everytime I see someone always make a thread about they hate life, wish to perish or are not liked by women or whatever nonsense issue; should feel that pain and turn it into something superior, something alive. A issue with self pity is that no one respects, no one will take you seriously and no one will fear you. That is how you end up painting a big red marker on your own back.

More so for men too, when you do this and somehow manage to get a woman, you will most likely get cheated on or left behind. Is it the woman's fault? Partly, some just wanted to use an emotional tampon, others needed a piggy bank and you, you should have grown a spine a long time ago. Yet I can only say this so much, in the end. Not everyone is made to be a survivor, to thrive. That is the balance of life, the weak and the strong. Let us just hope for the people who are weak that they are content in their current lives. Let us hope even more that regret does not end up steering their psyche's wheel.

very true, the people who successfully turn their lives around through self pity/hatred are those who can turn those feelings into a driving force behind their lives in comparison to those who instead let their self pity pre determine their existences
