Perfect diet

What is the best diet for bone growth and development at 17.

I usually eat chicken (and other meat like beef) , eggs, bread, milk, spinach, kale, apples, rice, protein shakes and bars.

what should I add?

Veg like spinach,carrots, mushrooms and broccoli
Fish - salmon ideally
Almond milk

Avoid protein bars and protein shakes. They are overly processed. I’ve heard protein shakes cause hair loss

For any species the perfect diet is the one most consistent with the evolution of its digestive system, humans are no different. Humans evolved eating large mammal meat, fish, eggs, and small amounts of wild plants. Almost all wild plants were toxic or inedible, and very low in calories so they played a minor role in terms of total nutrient intake. Any deviation from this sort of template is just wishful thinking or ignorance. Stuff like broccoli, oatmeal, rice, it's all modern man-made food that causes health problems in any significant amount.

The animal foods should be a mix of raw and cooked, humans were selectively cooking foods for 2 million years. Vegetables if they are included should be fermented, although they have no place in a perfect diet.

High iq thanks for taking the time to respond thoroughly . I ate mostly meat my entire life never really took part in this modern “food plate” thing they have in all school. Come from a polish meat eating weight lifting family so it was always meat eggs milk and some veggies here and there

Just because you evolved to do something soes not make it best. You were not suppose to survive pnumoneia

Polish traditions are not dissimilar to the rest of the world, how much animal food you had depended on your status/class and families will typically give more of them to the children or the pregnant women if there isn't enough for everyone. They are valuable currency for bartering even. In the last 50 years or so this multi-generational understanding of nutrition has been turned on its head by activist-scientists and family breakdown causing mothers to not learn from grandparents. You should count yourself very lucky that you came from a family in touch with their traditions.

I still ate like shit though. I didn’t eat enough and was very skinny until I was in high school. Had to drink ensure everyday for nutrients . Although when I did eat it was meat and carbs , and my family is middle class, so they provided me with the proper food as opposed to McDonald’s or some shit.
