Varg had neotenous features without looking childish or creepy well into his 20s which is why he also had plenty of female fans unlike most death metal artists (who looked like angry 48 year olds at 24).

He didn't need exaggerated cheekbones or super low body fat.

He did descend incredibly fast after his prison sentence and basically looked like a boomer ever since. But I doubt he cares since he has a good life on a French farm with a gl wife and several kids.
