I’ve been practicing osteotomies on a maxillofacial surgery planning program. I have MRI scan data that I’m interested in performing operations on and I want to apply segmentation onto the bone tissue. The problem is that with MRI scan data it’s very difficult to isolate bone tissue. But it can be done by utilizing prediction algorithms, according to numerous studies. The algorithms exist, but they draw from a dataset of CT scan data for reference, and as far as I’m aware there’s no convenient way to utilize them. Is anyone aware of any other way that I can isolate the bone tissue?
