your on 80mg of accutane for 6 months??
it means u got 14,400mg which is overdose

u should've do 6 months of 20mg accutane then continue with tretinoin
u can do acne scars treatments (lasers, microneedling etc) while on tretinoin

but for ur case just hit your goal instead of lowering your dose
also what is ur goal mg? 14,400mg is overdose for most of ppl (if ur not 95-100kg)

it is insane and far more than cumulative dose.

5 mg is not much, do 10-15 if you’re planning to use it indefinitely

I've done LFHR on isotretinoin.
Planning to do Fraxis on it soon as well.

Try to avoid taking this drug long term if possible. Once you get off 80mg, don’t take anything for 1-2 months to get it completely out of your system and then evaluate the condition of your skin from there. Microdosing 5mg isn’t the worst thing in the world, but probably isn’t necessary after having 14,400mg cumulative dose. Probably pointless for u to take it.

It would be better for you to start a topical retinoid and begin treating scars.

Go to 10 mg

I made a mistake I was on 20mg for a month then 40mg for 2 months then 80mg for the rest, I been on 80 for around 3/4 months

don't. if you do it at least test your liver values regularly

dude it’s not worth it imo even if you test, your acne is likely permanently gone (the common number off the top of my head is 19/20 people who reach cumulative dose never have acne again)

you should instead add low concentration topical retinoids to your nighttime routine, slowly up the concentration over x amount of months, figure out what type of scars you have, and then based on that get those scars treated

Isotret doesnt affect liver barely at all for most people the blood tests are just in case...

isotretinoin works by damaging your sebaceous glands permanently . By the time you have reached your cumulative dose your sebaceous glands are working at 15-20% of their original capacity . Since you have already reached your cumulative dosage you would not need to continue . If you want the cellular turnover on your skin use adapalene . No need to continue isotret
