Perorial mounds due to braces (bulge at corner of mouth)

Ever since I’ve started orthodontic treatment, I’ve noticed bulges at the corners of my mouth which have progressively gotten worse. It makes me look old as fuck

It’s really demotivating since you thought you could ascend but instead u descend and become a saggy potato. I really wanna get them off

I’ve had no extractions, and there is barely any retraction.

Question - are the bulges temporary? Will it go away after braces? Is anyone here educated on how certain movements of the teeth can cause soft tissue changes.

Can I nuke them with fat dissolvers? If I can then tbh I’ll get rid of braces and just nuke them. Braces are a waste of time and hard earned money.

It’s probably best to just ask your ortho about it. I had my braces fitted on last week, it’s shit but it’s worth it for the future

Dude he’s a professional gas lighter and won’t even talk for long before going somewhere else. He would just ask to bite down and say some like looks A okay young man!

He’s really hesitant to admit aesthetic concerns unless ur a surgery candidate and even then he looks at chin nose lips line ups rather than soft tissue concerns

I probably wouldn’t switch orthos since that’ll just be even more costly.
You could probably go for a free consult from others (some clinics will offer this) for aesthetic concerns

I don’t think I’ve had a bulky mouth look, maybe slightly? But it’s a bonus for me since it makes my lips look a bit wider

nigga im pretty sure its just from the braces causing your lips to be a bit flared, either that or you keep getting the corners of your lips stuck on your brackets while talking and its prolly causing it to swell.

I know I’m also positive I didn’t have this before either. I did not even extraction or even any major refractive movement, in fact my front teeth are being flared out since they were inwards.

Idk if it’s temporary, it’s really demotivating since I study and work a job on side just to make me look uglier. It’s not recession since I’ve seen people with very recessed chins and jaws still not have this. It’s a soft tissue concern

That’s what I think too. The right side has a bigger bulge because one tooth is completely misaligned there and has the thickest bracket.

Still cucked as fuck tho. I look like a botched millennial mom.

Hopefully it does. I’m an oldcel so my skin is less likely to bounce back.

Will look into cope like gua sha and micro current to see if they get better

I think you won’t. My movement involves flaring my front teeth but i am gonna ask them to revert it to neutral which I believe can help with less bulgy mouth area. Other than that just be careful with mouth sores and do salt water rinses time to time
