personality over looks?

alright so i had a relationship of 1 year with this girl, best personality, funny, nice, i wouldnt say bad looking but shes slightly below average, talking about her face. i stopped talking to her because she turnt into an alcoholic and started smoking weed after the breakup.

and now i also dated this girl, shes good looking, id say shes my looksmatch or maybe even prettier, but she gives slow ass replies, shes really bad in arguments, and before breaking up with her the relationship was really toxic, we would argue daily sometimes more than once, she texted a guy behind my back and tried to hide it (it was just as friends i seen the chats but still), and i did the same later on with a girl (as friends aswell), and other shit happened, and now were talking again after a month of breakup hoping to have a fresh start but all she does it not taking me seriously, putting her friends over me, sometimes taking hours to reply and then says she was busy when really she was just playing, and despite all i still love her so much because when we talk she always makes me laugh shes sweet and all, only when we talk, not on text.

recently i had reached out my ex of 1 year to ask her how shes doing and she told me that shes back on her feet, started gym, barely drinks and smokes, and shes deciding wether to go to uni or not but shes more in the yes, and that discussion lasted 2 hours, she always replies fast, she was understanding and all, something i didnt have with my latest ex in a while, and i know she would still go for me so i dont know what to do.

i was thinking about going with my ex of one year but i still need opinions. what should i do?

I honestly can't see a future with a wife who cannot literally understand the words I'm saying, I've found atleast one girl that can wholeheartedly understand me and she's decent in looks, but I understand what you mean man.
