In the blackpill sphere a lot of people use this study to debunk that personality has an importance:

There are 3 problems with this study tho:
1) the men were assigned desirable personality traits, what are those? Being romantic? Being ambitious? Being kind? Those aren't attractive personality traits per se, they are neutral and sometimes even bad.
2) the men were not shown acting on their personality, they were just pics with attributes listed next to them. If I show you a pic of a mid pornstar doing nothing and if I show you a video of her acting all slutty your rating would vary, this because even personalities can be dimorphic (a slutty woman is sexy, a slutty man looks desperate)
3) women always lie, they are always subject to social desirability bias, so asking them is completely useless, especially in those settings.
Now, the big problem people here have with the personality meme is that when men are told that they should have a better personality to attract women they always make them believe they should be caring submissive cucks. This is not attractive, this is low status get no bitches kind of behavior.
The only good personality is the dark triad personality.
The dark triad personality is the most dimorphic personality a man can have. Think about it, women are illogical and emotional, dark triad men are cold and calculated.
Studies support this too and they aren't self reported like the previous one.
I showed multiple examples of dark triad men who women think are sexy despite them being average and sometimes even below average.
