Ignoring question “Why is personality important” and looks aspect to personality perception. That’s a diff topic
Writing mostly for myself to structure my thoughts. But would appreciate a discussion
To begin with, good personality needs a definition. I have talked to about a dozen people with high bodycounts(at least 2 with 1000+, both fatphobic sexists, so no ugly bitches) and many(20+) socially successful people
There is 1 common trait amongst them - they are pleasant to be around. High energy, yet chill, no negativity, good sense of humour, full of understanding. So good personality kinda equals being a leader
Then how to change it if you had no socialisation and a ton of negative patterns?
First of all is obviously health. You can’t be high energy if you are dying. High/normal test and no health problems is needed
Secondly, also your health but in a different way. There is a reason some drugs are used to enhance productivity and improve social skills (cocain lol).
Your dopamine and dopamine receptors should be fine. If you overload them - you simply have less motivation and energy due to less sensitivity to normal things(=not hardcore porn and ultra loud music with caffeine). Classic stuff
Legit the only good argument for NoFap
Thirdly, your behavioural patterns depend on your previous interactions and thoughts. The older you are, the less they can be changed due to reduction of brain plasticity
You kinda can make it better with:
1. Good health
2. Learning random shit (idk duolingo or smth)
3. Supplements. Effect is not gonna be that good though.
Vit B if you don’t have enough, magnesium l-treonate, zinc picolinate, Lion’s Mane (this one is more valid)
4. Drugs. Obviously you can do 1 time good personality drug (with not so good effect and potential sides) like Cocain, alcohol, pregab etc
But to me long term changes are more important
My personal stack(not sure if I write names correctly though, I have them in russian): Semax 500mg, Cortexin 10mg, Noonept 20mg and 9-ME-BC forgot the dose
Already bought most of them, but waiting till spring to start it, cuz rn I cba going outside with this weather. They affect different things in the brain, but have similar effect - better energy, stress tolerance, extraversion and brain plasticity
This one is experimental and made with many hours with ChatGPT (rechecking everything and looking what can I buy in Russia). Gonna be my own guinea pig lol
These two are the foundation. Now to the skills themselves
1. Experience. Getting into uni I was SO INCREDIBLY delusional about my social skills due to reading all the “Be a MANIPULATION GOD” books. Doesn’t work without experience, although some books are good according to some socially well people I talked to
2. Analysis on how you look. It’s very good if you can look at yourself from the side. Video journaling works, although it’s better if you see how you talk to people, how you look like explaining things and joking. Helps you see real facial flaws(no lens distortion or acting cool for the photo) too btw
Public speaking course worked amazingly for me, would recommend
3. Analysis on how you think. Generally, most therapists are retarded and useless. Would recommend using AI. Helped even my self-conscious ass. Maybe will attach the godlike prompt I used when I get to the PC
4. Observe, learn and improve. When you know how you think, how you look, how REAL people think and behave - you can change yourself
You can copy people’s gestures, styles(both in clothes and in the way they talk).
You can adapt to people, try new things etc
Most importantly is to do it in order. If you try to copy a human, when you’re actually 2006 Mark Zuckerberg - you’ll fail, cuz the copying will be too unnatural due to your inhumanity and delusions
Sources:
Experience of more qualified people (haven’t seen any studies on good personality, although I searched)
AI. Obviously rechecking. It tried to make up some random BS many times
Personal thoughts and experiences. I seriously changed and see actual results even though I haven’t even fully started
Would love to hear any different ideas or arguments. And yea, the structure sucks ass. Writing that from my phone
