Hey guys,

I'm dealing with what I call "social PTSD" or "abused dog syndrome" from being ugly and a late bloomer during my teenage years along with being non-nt. I didn’t ascend until I was 20, and while I look good now and get solid attention from women, my self-esteem is still pretty low due to how I was treated growing up.

A bit of background: I was on SSRIs (specifically Prozac/fluoxetine) for almost a decade to manage OCD and anxiety from when I was a kid, but I stopped recently because of sexual side effects. While most of my issues are gone, I still struggle with self-esteem and some social anxiety especially talking to women. I also have ADHD which I manage with Vyvanse as needed. Additionally, I have a slightly addictive personality, so I’m trying to be cautious about which medications I consider. I'm only considering these pharmaceutical interventions as a tool, I'm still implementing CBT with exposure therapy atm, but would appreciate some assistance.

Right now, I’m looking into pharmaceutical options to help with my self-esteem and social PTSD, but I want to avoid anything that could mess with my sexual function or lead to bad/extreme dependency. Here's what I’m considering:

  1. SNRIs (Effexor, Cymbalta): Might be better than SSRIs when it comes to sexual side effects, but are they addictive or difficult to come off of?
  2. Bupropion (Wellbutrin): I’ve read it has fewer sexual side effects and might even boost motivation. Could this be a good option for someone with anxiety, or is there a risk it could increase it?
  3. Beta-Blockers (Propranolol): I know these help with the physical symptoms of anxiety in social situations. Can they help with the mental side of things too, or are they just a band-aid for performance anxiety? I have naturally low blood pressure and heart rate, (Around 100/50 and under 60 RHR without stimulants) is this a problem?
  4. Pregabalin and Baclofen: I’ve heard these can be effective for social anxiety and inhibition but don’t want to risk getting dependent. Anyone with experience on use of these?
Any advice or experiences with these meds? I’m open to suggestions, especially from anyone who’s had a similar situation. I just want to feel more confident socially and rebuild my self-esteem without screwing up my progress physically or mentally.

Drugs and supplements I take right now:
Vyvanse 40mg as needed, usually 4 days per week.
Magnesium bisglycinate: 400mg before bed
Zinc: 25mg daily
Boron: 3mg daily
Vit d3: 2000iu daily
Melatonin: 2-5mg before bed
Cialis: 5mg daily
Creatine: 5 grams daily

Will soon start:
Semaglutide: 0.25mg/weekly

My diet consists of 90% healthy whole foods with a good variety of healthy fats and proteins.

I apparently don't have sleep apnea and if I do it's mild, but my airways are shitty. In my CT scan in the dolphin software when my maxfac was viewing the airways, it was red. I take Vyvanse to treat adhd.

Pregab + bac are your best bet, things like propranonal, memantine, etc are just other additions

I recommend 150 PG + 50 bac for going out.

I’m just worried about dependence and addiction since I already have a slightly addictive personality

This thread you linked is wrong, surgery first is best on all cases, also assuming that Turkey is some shit hole which is jfl
some examples :
Including rotative ones -> https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37743044

most bimaxes are wrong because the planning is bad, it's not about surgery first

IDK how your case is to comment on it but if Ramieri said you need it then you do most likely

I took Preg daily for about 2 years during college.

It's indeed addictive. Take Baclofen it's much more easier to quit.

I pretty much experimented all those drugs except for MAOIs.

Edit: what do you take Cialis for?

Yeah ik, is it exclusively for dick or something else?
I take it for multiple reasons. Tadalafil (Cialis) Improves Lean Mass, Increases Androgen Receptor Expression and Reduces E2 Levels in Men.
Additionally it counteracts the vasoconstriction from the vyvanse

Yea I also used to supplement it cuz antidepressants caused mild ED.

That combined with Tribulus Terrestris made my erections diamond hard. I was truly astonished by the result merely taking it for a month.

All you need is SSRI like Prozac and dopamine stuff like Wellbutrin, because ssris affect a bit dopamine and make you not anxious but not willing to do anything so Wellbutrin solve this issue

Or effexor in highest dosages but it can hit with anxiety and ocd again so imo Fluoxetine + Bupropion
