Levobunolol: A Possible Pharmaceutical Eye Color Hardmaxx?
Having a lighter eye color is a huge halo, especially for ethnics with darker skin, since the added contrast tends to make the eyes stand out more. Most existing methods to permanently lighten eye color are surgical:
- Laser iris depigmentation – Experimental with limited long-term safety data.
- Cosmetic iris implants – High risk (DO NOT GET THIS SHIT)
- Keratopigmentation (corneal tattooing) – Safer than iris implants but still an invasive procedure that can look unnatural if not done well.
Levobunolol
Levobunolol is a beta-blocker eye drop primarily prescribed to lower intraocular pressure in people with glaucoma or ocular hypertension. There is a published case report describing a patient whose irises gradually changed from brown to bright blue after approximately 10 years of continuous levobunolol use.
I know ten years sounds like a long time, but keep in mind the change would be gradual. If someone eventually reached a bright blue after a decade, that means that every year of use you can expect lighter eyes, in 2-3 years maybe you could go from dark brown eyes to a light brown/hazel.
The routine itself is also low effort compared to surgery: just 1–2 eye drops per day.

Risks
This is obviously not a cosmetic medication, and there are important downsides.- It lowers intraocular pressure, which can fuck your eyes if your eye pressure is already normal or low so be careful with it.
- As a beta-blocker, it can have local and systemic side effects.
- Evidence for eye color change is mininmal, its not widely known or studied only a few cases
- Obviously dont be a retard with it, if the color change isn't aesthetically pleasing that's on you, the ROI varies from person to person.
