I used to have a 19mm -20 philtrum and now it is 17mm just by having a better maxilla( I was very downgrown). Rotation of the maxilla can improve it IF you are diowngrown

your lips become fuller and more outwards that's why your philtrum became also shorter

I was a chronic mouthbreather and started doing mewing all thay and nose breathing 24/7 and unironically my philtrum improved and in general my whole face.

Honestly yes it is bcause in most cases it can Mess up the midface ratio ,fwhr and chin to philtrum
