What mm advancement do I need ?
Trimax due in February after decompensation braces.
Surgeon wants to do advancement of both jaws + CCW + putting chin backward because chin would be too projected otherwise.

Also how much will trimax ascend me ?

bros recessed and still got his chin in front of his lips GIGAAACHIN

Ah you have the same side profile as me. Setback genio is an unusual thing to need but you definitely need it.

I don’t understand why the CCW is proposed when the occlusal plane and jaw angle are already pretty flat.

You’re lucky to be able to beard fraud a bit. I would be KHHV to this day without my beard.

Yes I’ve noticed a lot of people have the same side profile.
First surgeon I went to even proposed Clock wise rotation. Second surgeon said CCW but wants to see how my jaw will move after full decomp.
I just don’t want to be underadvanced by fckn french surgeon 💔

Well if those photos are recent you are nowhere near fully decompensated yet. I would be surprised if your jaw moves during decomp, it certainly did not for me, I just have an overjet now.

I got suggested movements of 5mm maxilla and 10mm mandible with a downgraft and setback genio. But it could change.

For reference:

Oh yes our side profile is quite similar.
Do you know the movement for your genio?
I will probably need more than you, tho I don’t want to lose my good chin projection as it’s giving a masculine trait to my face.

First side profile picture is before braces. But how do you know if it’s decompensated or not ? Currently I have the braces and the retro incisal stops behind my front upper teeth.

I don’t know yet, real planning doesn’t start until decompensated.

Do you not have ceph?

Ceph is panoramic scan of my jaw ?
I’ll ask doc to send me and I’ll send here.

No that’s OPG, ceph is side x-ray.

You’ll just have to trust your ortho. It looks to me like you have class 2 div 2 incisor but I can’t tell for the molar occlusions.

Are you getting extractions?

Yes 4 wisdom teeth extraction.
Actually I found this x ray, but it’s before any orthodontics.

Here is the message of my ortho to the surgeon (beginning of orthodontics):
«
The provided image contains a description of a dental and facial analysis in French. Here is the English translation:
"Clinically I note a dental class I, a 100% overbite, a dento-dental disharmony linked to a rectangular morphology of the maxillary incisors and a very slight mandibular crowding of -2mm.
Aesthetically I note a concave profile with a marked labio-mental groove, a biretrocheilia and strong facial muscles.
Radiologically I observe a hypodivergent typology, a chin prominence and the presence of all 4 impacted wisdom teeth." »

Looks more like a borderline class 2 molar relationship to me, with the incisors being closer to a class 2 division 2 than a class 1. 100% overbite indicates class 2 division 2. Refer to chart I posted earlier.

Overall good bimax candidate maybe like 5 maxilla and 8 mandible or something. Overjet is not going to end up huge I think.

Assume they have put the “retro incisal stops” to encourage the molars to erupt and open the bite up. This is standard practice but tbh it has not worked well on me and my bite is still very deep.

Okay I also booked a consultation with pagnoni and another French surgeon in September to get their opinion as for what movement I need.
