I've been told by multiple surgeons that chin implants are prone to reabsorption, even if material is a fancy one such as PEEK. in general, chin implants seem to be a bad idea because in your chin there are lots of muscles and soft tissue and they move like A LOT. in the jaws, a similar thing can happen with the masseters but the risk is lower.
