how much do piercings or tattoos improve/affect your looks? ive been told multiple times by both females and males that i should get piercings or get tattoos, specifically earrings and full/half sleeves, but i always brushed it off cuz i never deemed it fitting (for me at least). i mainly believe that girls just see attractive guys with piercings or tattoos and automatically think attractive guys have them and are just reflecting their types onto me, assuming it would magically make me look better.
has anyone here gotten either and noticed more compliments/attention after?
are piercings/tattoos worth looking into getting?

idk what u mean by "appealing" but tatts will never help u in the dating scene and will only affect u negatively

I think as far as women see it, most superficial decorations add to the beautiful and subtract from the unattractive. If you are a good looking guy, tattoos, piercing, crazy haircut, etc will make women more interested in you because they are drawn to vulgar decoration like this. But if you are unattractive it will only enhance your unattractiveness, because they will more sharply perceive all your unappealing traits

I think most suggestions from women are not really serious, they just say whatever is popular, they will tell guys to get haircuts that are in style, wear clothes that are in style, etc. Tattoos and piercings are popular now so the suggestion is often made by women, but I think it's meaningless to take what they or even most men say seriously.
