I agree that contributing to the community should be voluntary, not for a trivial title.

I'm not going to beat around the bush and try to justify it, but yes, a looooot of people who have this "title" did it for Title or money .

Applying oneself within a community that one loves and is loved by, in order to achieve professional improvement, is a business model as old as the world.

But I don't think some people would have gained more or a greater personal benefit by doing something else, such as studying for years to become a psychologist or another generic office job, or even being a wage slave ,I don't really believe in meritocracy I don't believe that all the civil servants in our government, or even all the business executives, got their jobs because they deserved them i believe that the factors of success are determined by the impact we've had or the trust that certain people place in us this can be measured in quantity, which we might see as popularity, or even hatred not to mention being recognizable , Or even the amount that a single person with a lot of impact gives us, we can compare it to, or see it as, nepotism.

And this forum allows us to Have these keys in a much more pleasant way. I know people here who weren't very good at school but who can write you a multi-page thesis on a very niche segment of the steroid , or people who have managed to build a business around a very specific useless and trivial thing about the forum, earning a few hundred a month.

I think this business model is better than other generic ones like school and seven years of university for something you don't like and that isn't a being a doctor or a law degree. Having gained a personal benefit that has managed to change your life considerably just because you did something you love, like shitposting in off-topic or making some guide ,
