It all depends on a lot of factors
You'd have to eat at a caloric deficit for your abs to really be visible
Also genetics
But I'm trying to gain muscle, son. I'm not trying to anorexiamaxx.

good exercise for abs but at the end of the day they are made in the kitchen. try the tim ferris four hour body approach
 
Hahaha I remember him from the gymcel tinder experiment thread on lookism. He did quite well!

I am convinced that ab isolation exercises are one of the biggest copes there is. Heavy squats and deadlifts load the core far better than any crunch or plank ever could.

At first yes
But once a person gains enough degree of strength in their core, they can sit in a plank position for 30 minutes without feeling anything

For people who have no difficulty with planks, other exercises need to be incorporated, non isometric ones.

There is a lot of freedom in how the core can be trained, so dont just limit yourself to crunches and sit ups
You can make things far more interesting
Try to incorporate twisting motions especially to work the obliques, and movements of the legs such as leg raises

As well as heavy compound lifts, they are quite effective for strengthening the core



Always keep in mind, you wont ever have abs if you eat like shit and have too much fat covering them.
You cant outwork a shit diet when it comes to abs, if thats your goal and not just strength.

george hood can also do the sally up challenge for 15minutes straight back to back, does that mean pushups are bad? He can also do the ab wheel rollout for like 5000 reps no problem

When I do planks my shoulders/arms seem to give out long before my actual core gets tired wtf?
