Playing a high school sport is some of the biggest jester shit you can do

*unless you are good enough to go d1 and make money from it*

I am a rising hs junior who played football through middle school and freshman/sophomore year until I quit after sophomore season. Freshman year I kinda cared about the team, but as a sophomore I realized how cringe this shit is. You’re wasting every day of the summer and even the winter-spring time doing dogshit workouts like squats and sprints while being yelled at by some old clowns for ā€œnot getting low enough.ā€ Then you go out there in full gear with a bunch of blacks and corny 5’4 120 kids who think they have a chance to make it big and try to get hype over the game. Whenever anyone would try to tell a speech I would just start laughing because of how jester that shit is, if you play a sport QUIT unless it’s fighting
I’m in college and niggas still unironically talk about the goals they scored during JV soccer :lul: in high school

Ehh, puts you into good social groups and its a good workout, its also something to do if you have nothing going on. Helps with coordination and other aspects depending on the sport. But if you are a bench player with little to no chance of making it big quit the sport.
