Playing Video Games - is it worth it or just waste of time?

I haven't played any video games for over 2 years now, back then stopped because I saw it as a waste of time so I cut it out completely.
I'm starting to think that if you limit the time(e.g. 1x/week 2h) it could actually be beneficial:
- competition in games can give testosterone/hormone boost
- socialising with friends
- venting your emotions
- good distraction from blackpill
- overall good vibes(usually)

As a sub 6 male you can't really experience the same adventures/Dopamine kicks as with games, so till getting to ~6PSL or even then, it's probably a good cope and conducive for overall happiness/health in moderation
You miss out on testosterone boosting excercies, actually making friends, among many others, imo it's not legit way to spend time

Waste of time if you're addicted to them like me. Just started college last month and I'm already failing a class because of my addiction.

Literally waste of time and money

anything virtual compared to irl is bs.

only should be a social thing with friends or a way to waste time between stuff irl if you have Absolutely nothing else to do and can afford to waste a bit of time

Only if you are good at a competitive game , otherwise losing again and again will drop your t levels , frustrate you , anxiety and cortisol spike jfl

if you're in it for being competitive, that only makes it worse..

What else do you a play a game for?
before it was to be competitive, which essentially is one of the main causes for video game addiction, now it's just for fun (no multiplayer games)

but even still if it's just for fun, i still have to cut it off completely bro

like what a person said, level yourself up, not your virtual character.

I already was unconsciously coping by playing vidya in my bluepilled days. I am still going to play them because as a low-tier normie I have nothing else to do.

All i care about are stories and immersion experience tbh

Literally anything that doesn't contribute towards your goals/purpose/passions is a waste of time. However, obviously people aren't going to be working 24/7 on these things. we need some amount of leisurely time. so playing video games, internet browsing, watching tv etc. Is all fine, so as long as it isn't getting in the way of your productivity towards success.

If you've chosen to lay down and rot, than it dosent matter. Play games all day if you want.
