TLDR: Experienced facial asymmetry somewhere between the ages of 17 up until early 20's. Crooked lips, nose and misaligned teeth. Prior to this happening I was skinny and since have gained weight. Currently 12-17kg overweight and sitting at around 30-35% body fat. Experienced two minor facial strokes and suffered frequent nose bleeds.
I had adequate facial symmetry as a child and teen but somewhere from the age of 17 up until now (I'm early 20's), I've developed an alarming increase of asymmetry in multiple areas.
Nose: Nasal tip leans to the right hand-side & nostrils are different sizes (cocainecel /s)
Lips: Lips diagonally point upward, with the tallest point being on the right hand-side - this is only noticeable when i smile.
Teeth: My teeth are botched and I definitely need braces but they don't side in the middle of my mouth for some reason.
+ I also have some orbital asymmetry I believe, which is minimal but it has worsened with time also.
I did experience a minute facial stroke twice (this only effected my mouth area from what I could tell), which lasted a day each time, within a month of each other maybe six months ago. I have also experienced frequent nosebleeds for three or four years, on average having one or two per month. This would happen for a few months and stop for a few months. I haven't had a nosebleed in roughly six months at this point. I don't believe these things can change the trajectory of my bone projection.
Also, it's worth noting, I was skinny before 17 and up until now, I am overweight. Roughly 17kg/37lbs overweight, being roughly 30-35% body fat.
Does anybody have an idea why this may have happened? Will weight loss help at all? Can anybody relate?
TIA
