I'm currently at a low point in my life despite the fact I have the most freedom ive ever had. Just recently i've started to study Mathematics in my home city and I feel like shit. Like im going to end up as an unemployed bum because of AI and ill never get out of this insecure and shy phase. Ill always be the same person ive always been.

I have the ability to drop out right now to pursue Biomedical Engineering or Mech Eng at a different uni. The fees are alot more, so much that id end up with 50k more debt than if i stayed at home. I really think i should take the risk and just go for it. I visited the uni last month with a friend and ended up hooking up with a random bird thats out of my league. Is this a sign? Should i do it lads?

bio med and mech eng is a no brainer over mathematics, you will guaranteed make more in those fields and have better longevity. but if youre not willing to risk a 50k debt (can be paid off in less than 1 and a half years of working at maccies) then stay in maths, im really not sure what a maths degree would do for you though as 99% of jobs dont give a shit about a good qualification let alone maths. but you know whats best for you better than any of us ever will so sit down and have a solid think about your options, at the end of the day we only live once, try to do the best you can and just enjoy your life for what it is, we all make mistakes its how you bounce back that matters at the end of the day
