do whatever you want, but if you feel that you push yourself, then leave it. it is very counter intuitive. many people think that you should die hard in the gym, but it is not the case for beginners. as a beginner, you should build up love, some commitment toward gym. if you do harsh toward yourself in the very beginning, your cortisol gonna skyrocket. you even do not need to overwhelm yourself in the beginning of your journey. do it as you want. do whatever you want, just enjoy the process (but before doing anything, make sure you are doing the movement properly ).

again, remember: do whatever you want, but if you feel tired, exhausted, do not push yourself. do not listen to the bullshit that workouts must be tough and harsh - it is not the case with the beginners. harsh discipline in the beginning of your journey - is BS.

by the way, i strongly advise you to do kinda dopamine detox in the training days. it will foster the process of commitment and joy.

if you are interested, i can detail further

Good diet
Ppl split
Focus on compound lifts
Train legs
Train to failure
After 1 year of training do 200 test +AI

  • PPL

if you like it then you will figure it all out anyways, do what you enjoy and dont be a pussy ==> fall in love with it :)

  • dont get hurt
  • => train hard af and train with perfect form
  • (if you half rep / swing the weights etc… you will never reach your potential for example when you do pull ups: do them full ROM until they get easy, then do weighted pull ups but always with full ROM ===> you will see people in the gym doing heavy weighted "pull ups" but they are doing half reps its just ego lifting, if they were to do a pull up with proper form they wouldnt even be able to do it with 10kg extra

  • you have to do the exercises that are difficult => no one wants to train hard and thats why no one is getting jacked
  • real Pull ups widegrip
  • Squat
  • etc

maybe watch some eric bugenhagen videos and you will know what its about

  • no sitting reverse cable flies
===> all this science based lifting is gay af, people are trying to train as soft as possible without having to feel bad about it

also dont become a depressed sigma gym coper life is so hard I am training so hard pussy
Working out isnt about your mental illness I dont get why everybody in the gym has this "winter arc" you have to suffer mindset, you are just lifting weights

  • eat enough
  • Dont buy any BS programs its just snake oil
  • lifting is the easiest sport out there you literally just have to do the basic exercises (squat pull up bench etc) and eat enough protein
  • maybe read plight of the lonesome bodybuilder and then you will see why somepeople might say that its cope (it can be)
