He started balding a few years ago, not when they met.

He was overweight when they met, but not massively, so you wouldn't call him "fat", rather chubby, as I said. He gained and lost weight a few times lol, right now he has less weight than a few years ago.

All in all, I say he was never attractive, he was a Normie at best. He is more extraverted than her and earns good money (IT). I think it is a typical relationship that is formed through social circle, also my sister was just never interested in hookup culture.
