( I wanted to write this short one, because it really reminded me what kind of person do I want to be. I’m tired of hiding under the masks, hiding my true identity, and how I really feel.)
When you've spent so long shapeshifting for everyone else, you forget who you were before the masks. But unexpectedly someone says your name, you turn on instinct, already scrambling to remenber which version of yourself they know. You freeze for a second, caught in that quiet abysmal moment of introspective.
Because deep down, you realize you've never been liked for who you really are, only for the pieces you've carved yourself into for them.
