if you SR for gift pokemon like startes, fossils etc, the PIV are not rendomized lol. Instead, certain natures, ivs, gender are assigned to certain time frames so you can SR all you want and hit the same frames over and over and over lol. Unless you know what nature corresponds to a certain frame, you will struggle to get a pokemon you want!

But in R/S, the PIVs are higly randomized so by repeatadly soft ressting you can get your desired PIVs. JFL at casual soyucks playing Emerald cuz muh final mix, muh extras stuff.
