I have a friend who makes over 100k/yr playing poker on weekends. That's in addition to his regular job. No LARP.

I made decent money 10 years ago, but now all the pros have destroyed it by selling training apps.

Now it’s full of Eastern Europeans playing perfect optimal poker on 10NL winning and feeding their family on $10 a day.

Maybe there is money to make on MTT’s but with the competition out there it’s basically a gamble so you may aswell just play the lottery (which is basically what MTT’s are)

it was so easy back in the day
harder now, u have to game select carefuly for cash games. There's prob money IRL at smaller casinos not in vegas where there are fish

online poker, especally cash games, are very hard nowadays and unless ur willing to put in a lot of work u wont make money

i recently tried to play zoom 25-50nl in pokeroom where soft is not allowed and after 120k hands i can definetely say its still proftiable.

Most people play in a very passive nitty maneer like 20/15 and barely 3 bet in those limits or make consecutive bluffs. If you know how to play aggresive and read your opponent ranges it becomes quite easy to exploit.
like a guy 3 bets oop and on a78 coordinated board checks. you can literally 2-3 barrel him because in 90% cases hes going to play like that with 1010-kk
or if a board is 89j coordinated and a guy oop in 3 bet pot leads with 1/3 bet you can literally reraise pot with any cards- simply because in most cases nobody would make a bet like this holding qq+.

and i would guess that cash games are even more easy because the number of regs is ussualy much higher on zoom/fast.
