Most people are not the same height, but they only differ within a 1-2 inch range. 50% of people are between 5'9-5'11, i.e average height +- 1 inch. The skull sizes here are cancelled out by body types leading to different skull sizes, and that effect extends to heights outside of that range as well, with a little more variation.

That ES ratio and midface ratio varies significantly by T levels and body type shows that differences in IPD are not cancelled out by height and skull size differences.

It's a good indicator usually since the average is around 64-65, most of the time 70mm will be in the wide territory and sub 60mm in the narrow one unless skullcel.
An interesting note is that sometimes wide ipd can brings your aesthetic to a whole next level (De Poot, Gandy, Barrett, O'pry..) while narrow one cannot most of the time.
