That’s cause so many of them are mixed with North Africans and Arabs due to the reconqista period

The native Portuguese are supposed to look just like Spanish since they are the same people usually white dark brown hair and blue eyes

True but also I think there's just alot of variation in southern euros, some percentage are light skinned and dirty blonde and light eyed and some are naturally just darker. Tbh even in England there's some fully English people that are hella tanned
