I used to be giga depressed, addicted to gooning and porn, wanted to kill myself all the time, and I did self-harm for a bit. Basically, I hated both my life and myself. However, nothing in my life was really all that terrible; my family has never struggled financially, and my life has never been that difficult. Though I was and am still khhv, it always made me a lot sadder and more depressed than it does now.
Nothing in my actual lifestyle has changed that much since then, but I feel so different now than I did then.
2 main things have changed,
1: I went without my phone for a while, and I mean that I literally did not own a phone. While it has some difficulty at points, it truly does make life feel like when you were a kid. There is something so refreshing about it.
I would seriously recommend anybody try going without the phone for a bit. I'm not talking a couple of weeks, like 1.5 months+
2: I tried, and I mean really tried, to take a more positive outlook on life. If you are unhappy or upset with where you are, you must do two things: change your situation and come to terms with your current situation. You cannot do only one; you must do both.
You only have one life, so you must use it to its fullest potential; a life of suffering is not living, but dying.
If you could choose to live your whole life frowning or smiling, why not smile?
Sorry that ts was water; just kinda wanted to say it
