clench maybe on a towel or thin mouthguard or rubber to not damage teeth. but clench so that the force is in a diagonal vector. a visualisation of this vector is an imaginary arrow from the gonion to base of nose. if you clench so that the force exerted is in the vector of this arrow, perhaps you could get upswing? when i do this i activate masseter only and not temporalis so can be beneficial for masseter hypertrophy too i reckon. im hypothesisisng this from info i saw on @Momstouch i think the username was, that person's post on this website about chewing.

Chew outward
Masseter is more activated when you chew outward and use front teeth. Also this force will push your maxilla upward and forward. This is what i discovered by myself... I'm gonna call it "Momstouching" - Chewing outward (grinding your lower jaw forward) Mewing + Momstouching = best combo wombo...
