I have this mod for the skybox though that turns the biggest planet in the sky (iirc there is two haven’t played in a bit) into an advanced ecumenopolis so it feels like your trapped on Kenshi while the rich look down on you my characters lore is that he’s a rich chad actor sent down from there by a reality show to dominate the poor peasants on kenshi and enslave and rape everyone with his superior iq and strength

Got goosebumps reading the part about the ecumenopolis.

Yes, that adds an entirely different layer of despair for the exhausted samurai wandering across the skimmer deserts as the sun makes his iron hat sting with conducted heat whenever he readjusts it. Sweat painting his forehead, trickling down the tip of his nose as he fights off starving bandits. Praying he makes it to Sho-Battai for a nights rest in a rusty bed on a bar roof as the rustling sandstorms scrapes the ancient walls enveloping the city. All for an old muscular man named Crumblejon to dislocate himself from a mysterious protagonists group and cut him in two just as he finally thought he could let his muscles relieve themselves of the tension that the path had accumulated...he was wrong, you may never rest on the moon of Kenshi.

Although the tragicomical part of the story is that the ecumenopolis is just as bad of a place to be in, just less animals in animal form and more beasts in human form. No one ever escapes the human condition, in this world or the next.

I like to imagine the people on the ecumenopolis observe the people on Kenshi like little ants just as we humans do and treat them as entertainment, just to make it more brutal. I like to write lore for Kenshi, like how there’s been attempts to build ships to get to the advanced society above by reverse engineering stuff like old crashed scouting ships from the ecumenopolis but always ending in failure

Incredible, I also add a shit ton of sociopolitical lore and backstory and character dynamic in my worlds. My current guy has already eradicated every single cannibal town as we lost one of our members to the cannibals.
