Anyone else agree with this?
Whether it be a video game where you play in a post apocalyptic land, or a TV show/movie where people attempt to survive and learn the truth.
I especially love it when society has gone on for so long that lost technologies effectively become magical devices to the people and they rediscover human history. It also allows for more basic, bestial human instincts to be shown. The brutality and inhumanity of people to persevere where they go so far as commit cannibalism to live.
