If you have open curls (3A), let it grow out. It looks pretty good if you know how to take care of it, that's what I've done.

But if your curls are tighter (3B-3C), the best thing to do is to cut the sides and let the top part grow out, and let the hair grow forward so the fringe comes out more, cut the back part.


If you grow this type of hair out I think it can look good, but you look a little gay or it doesn't look accommodating to your face in my opinion.

No, curly hair is 2B-3C, something like this.

Braids are considered afro hair, not curly.

but my hair looks a lot dryer and my curls don't look as defined.
