ideal for me as well

but I think this only works for prettyboys/young men

I think once you are 25+ a flat philtrum like Gandy's might be ideal for appeal, however I'm not 100% on this

in my opinion flat philtrum isnt very aesthetic, concave philtrum is what women mostly have and it adds to the youth and I would say aesthetic beauty because it looks like your maxilla naturally forward growth. but it still doesnt matter that much, because its not like the most important feature.

The problem is that concave philtrum cannot be emulated by bimax and you will practically be happy to end up with flat philtrum or worse with convex monkey philtrum, which looks purely like soft tissue mass compressed forward.

I have a concave philtrum right now, and am deciding between Bimax with a small lefort 1 + lots of CCW or just doing BSSO + Genio, hence I might be coping with the "flat philtrum is ideal after you are 25+"

truth is I am unsure how much the philtrum matters in attraction, and having seen my side profile morph for Bimax CCW (which my surgeon said is about 90% accurate) and where the philtrum changed to being somewhere between concave and flat, am deciding whether or not I want to accept the predicted loss in my concave philtrum (and there is a chance it could turn out worse), and add the upper jaw movement

thoughts?

Philtrum is kind of a consequence of bad midface bone ratio and bad lips. Yeah it’s really obvious when it’s bad but it doesn’t exist in isolation, it’s because you have bad mouth placement and long lower maxilla with downward growth, or you have no upper lip at all.

I have an ultra short philtrum and a bit chin, my philtrum to chin ratio is over 3.5. It actually looks good, if I make my Philtrum longer I look older but uglier

philtrum is one of the hardest things to fix . It matters more for women though, as a man you can unironcslly hide it with a mustache or facial hair. Tom Selleck is a great example. Plus it doesn’t ruin a male face as much as it absolutely makes a woman ugly if too long. George Clooney has a long Philtrum
