Post‑inflammatory hyperpigmentation with tretinoin at 15

Im using tret 0,05 and spf 50 but im just 15 due to chat gpt i could get pigments in my face is this a risk ??? I would stop using tret if its really a risk especially as a 15 year old

I can guarantee you this won't happen but if you're concerned then use azelaic acid and/or hydroquinone aswell

if anything tret will fix uneven pigments in your face. hydroquinone is the only product to worry about having rebound pigmentation. just be smart with tret, don't overdo it and don't forget to use your spf

Some nga just that hydroquinond is good with tret and is azelaic acid good to previd pigments ?

if you wanna use hydro and tret in the same routine go for it, but i wouldn't use it on the same day bc your skin barrier would prob be irritated. azelaic acid is great for removing hyperpigmentation, and it's relatively gentle. i wouldn't use all at the same time but none of them are inherently bad

If you're new to tret I'd recommend 0.025. It's less irritating on the skin and has similar long-term results to 0.05 and even 0.1.

tret and azelaic wont give you unwanted pigment. hydro is tough bc it can cause rebound pigment if used too much.
