LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You
For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than to Google it for themselves.lmgtfy.app
As opposed to SARPE (an acronym for Surgically Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion), Miniscrew-Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion (MARPE) uses bone borne miniscrews instead of tooth borne anchor points for expansion, there are numerous benefits fort it which I am sure you can google yourself.
It is a bit trickier for the surgeon to insert tho.
TLDR: SARPE and MARPE in my case is interchargable since I had it surgically assisted, but I think it is worth using the S/MARPE acronym since there are some differences between tooth borne and bone borne expanders and their efficacy.
MSE tehnically is also MARPE, but people here really like Dr. Moon so they use his trademark acronym (MSE). And when referring to MSE, people usually imply that it is not surgically assisted even tho in a lot of cases it is.
you did braces then MARPE? like you closed the gap, then expanded your palate?yes, nose breathing gains are amazing too.
