Post-platasmyl fat removal

I've recently invested in a couple of microneedling products (Microneedling pen ect..) and I was wondering if things such as collagen production in the post-platasmyl fat area would essentially help the fat break down and/or give it a lighter appearance in order to help define the lower third more.
