Post rep ratio means nothing

Ive gotten like 20 rep off of one bullshit post in off topic, but when i post weekly updates documenting the use of certain drugs, or give meaningful input on LM. Ill get like 1 rep for 4 posts lol. I just debated some guy with 70k posts and 114k rep, and he genuinely knew nothing, just spouting blanket statements not citing any studies.

Unless the person posts like mostly guides or stuff about LM, but who's gonna check that when seeing a reply, they just see like a 1k posts 1.5k rep and think they must know their shit .

If only you could make this post, then people would agree with it . But like genuinely most of the dudes with crazy high post/rep ratios, or just alot of posts and rep, just sit in off topic and talk about random shit. Like unless the have some botb thread or something, post/rep ratio doesn't mean like anything, i could make a new account and just sit in off topic, and once i have 1k posts ill have like 3k rep. And then people would just take my side in arguments lol.

Post-rep ratio is mainly just an indicator if someone acts in good faith, not the quality of their posts
