IQ isn't a physical thing - it's a number determined by your ability to do well on a test. that has a lot more to do with your current mental state, attitude, how much sleep you had, etc...

When i was young I was prodigy tier, school district had a fancy label for students that scored in the top 1% for reading writing and maths. Used it to get into a special program for highiq students. scored well in all classes. took SAT in 8th grade and got a 1420 (not great but for 8th was pretty good imo. didn't study. perfect score on reading writing and maths i had mostly forgotten cause was taking calculus at that time.).

Early in high school struggled with depression, video game addiction, social isolation, weight gain, eating disorder, and frequent illness, and an ER trip for a minor concussion (probably not the problem). Took the SAT again and scored much lower, struggled to pass most classes Now I'm finishing up highschool and barely able to read or write. probably going to fail all classes and rope when parents kick me out of house.

pretty sure something in there smacked my IQ.
