I misunderstood you then or you me. I don’t mean that the structure doesn’t make a difference on the pfl.
My point was that the only thing which matters for measuring the pfl (for aesthetic reasons) is the 2d front view because that’s what is the aesthetic part about the pfl. And as you can see on the pictures you posted Salludons 2d pfl is bigger than thecels 2d pfl.

Gandy's pfl is higher cause his eye sockets are deeper and medial canthus longer, I would guess yours at around 32-33mm

I know what you mean but it plays a role in aesthatics cause as I said it gives you a better lateral scleral triangle( more white next to the iris)(look at thecel vs salludon, salludon's pfl isn't only longer due to medial canthus but also cause the lateral canthus is more backwards which gives him more white next to his iris compared to thecel)
and it gives the lateral canthus a swung back look which looks more aesthatic
look at Ryan's vs Gandy's eye and focus on the lateral canthus and you'll now what I mean, it's hard to describe tho

Many of these raw numbers are pretty useless, especially stuff like IPD where it's much more important how wide/narrow it is in relation to your bizygomatic width -> ES-ratio.

I used to obsess about these numbers for a while too until I realised how cringe it actually is jfl.

In my case the pfl is wider than it looks like (notice the left eye vs right eye visible scleral)
The IPD is like almost 70mm , kinda small for my wide face

Its definitely not accurate enough. But no matter if you take 10.2 or 13.0mm you will get an above average pfl for Gandy and Eriksen. So it helps to get a slight idea if the pfl of the person is above or just average.

the thing is pfl is in reality 3D but that doesn’t really has an influence on the aesthetic part. For example someone with extremely bulging eyes would have a bigger 3D pfl than someone with deep set eyes. But in their front view if you measure the pfl in 2d they still could get the same number. And both their eyes look the same width.
And the same applies to the lateral canthus position. It might give a bigger pfl measurement but the pfl still looks the same from the front view which is what matters in the end.

The two are highly correlated though, because as the canthus moves outwards, it also needs to go backwards to maintain contact with the eyeball. You won't find someone with a fairly deep lateral canthus position who doesn't have clearly horizontally wide eyes from the front.
